P. s. My outfit today is kinda lame, so no picture today. I will step it up tomorrow!

I am super practical when it comes to water bottles. They need to be durable, cheap, safe, easy to clean, and pretty. I am obsessed with my Design for Living stackable water bottles. I have 4 of them, and I use one everyday. They have a cork-like closure, which can be turned to lock into place. If you're looking for a new water bottle and you don't want to break the bank, you definitely should check these out. They are around $7 on amazon.

Today I dressed for the heat, as it's been really warming up these last few days in SoCal. I chose my Split Pea 105 Singlet, Energy Bra in matchymatchy stripes of Split pea, inkwell, and plum, and my Ziggy August WUC. This season's Energy bras are sooooo much tighter! They offer better compression, but my neck and shoulders start to hurt after a while. I compaired it to my Angel Blue one from last year, and it's an inch smaller in the band, and the straps are shorter too. Sigh. I can never find the perfect sports bra. I ordered 2 from Nordstrom this week, so I will let you all know if those turn out to be magical. I doubt it.

I got the Athleta catalog today, and, while there are a couple of items I would try on if there was a store nearby, there were some royally hideous things. I laughed out loud at a couple!
(Clockwise from the top)
- I think that their prints are the absolute worst. It's Chicos meets Kmart lingerie.
- This dress is perfect for a Star Trek themed wedding!
- Did they have tons of extra yardage of this fabric? Why all the layers? So unflattering.
- Down is never very flattering, but this also has a mandarin collar and an asymmetrical zipper. And it's orange.
If Athleta ever wants to mail me some free clothing to try then maybe I could write a review! But I'm not gonna gamble my own cash on it. Plus the resale factor is another reason that I buy lulu.
Do you guys like Athleta? Do you think I'm the meanest?

Well, darn it. I was just thinking how there's nothing that I could be tempted by, and then all these gem come out!! Looks like I will be sending some of my own precious items to the eBay chopping block. I'm going to try and hit the store, cause I hate ordering a bunch of stuff and having to return it. I hope they have all of these new things in!

I'm about to head out with my kidos and hit the farmers market. We are obsessed with these garlic and herb blistered almonds! Yum. I'm wearing my Yin to You pants in Wee are from Space, and charcoal Heart Opener tank.
Be on the lookout for a special guest post by one of our very own readers!

I have to be careful not to wear too much neon orange at the same time. I'm sure not many people have this problem, but it affects me daily. Today I'm wearing my Flare Run jacket that my husband picked out for me at the lulu outlet. I can't remember the style name. But I love how light and stretchy it is. Also wearing my Smokey Rose CRB, GAP tank, and grey Bandha crops. Oh! And my new Nike shoes! I feel like I'm walking on marshmallow fluff.

I met up with my friend at the park this morning, and she let me take a few shots of her beautiful outfit! She's wearing the GoGo crop in black, Ziggy September CRB, and a top by NFS. Clearly, she has a background in modeling. Who else an strike such a pose at the drop of a hat?
Want to share your outfit? Please email us at email@example.com and we might feature you! Please include the style and color of the items you're wearing.
I love a good deal. It takes a lot to force me to pay full retail for something. But I adore these Ziggy August WUC. I paid full price, and I know that I am nuts, but I kinda feel like I need a backup pair. I'm also wearing my Wee Ghost Stripe CRB and Patagonia Better Sweater. My friend found this jacket at the thrift store! I have always wanted one, and for $8 I don't mind having it second hand. Ones lady's last season is another's wardrobe essential!

I decided to dress like a superhero today, it being Monday and all, and try out my new Fresh Teal Run Inspires! Yes, they aren't the most flattering crops on the planet. But they are super fun, and they make me happy. I'm not trying to impress anyone at a 6:15 bootcamp. I'm trying to get amped about the week and sweat!! I loved wearing them. It might be a new Monday tradition. Also wearing my Extra Long CRB in Wee Space Fossil and my pink Mizunos. I didn't wear a headband today, as I only have very colorful ones and I don't need any more fighting colors!

I admit that I was totally unprepared for yesterday's trip to the warehouse sale. I left my water in the car, brought no food, and had no idea how long I would be standing in line. We kept getting info that it would be about another hour (it was 2.5 more), 20 minutes from here (another hour), and that really messed with my head. When I finally enter the craziness I was starving, thirsty, and exhausted. And it became very clear that in order to find anything good you had to become a pile scavenger, chasing after the poor workers with rolling racks, and diving into the boxes of go-backs. I did that for a while, but my brain shorted out and I needed to be done. In the end I walked away with some Black Swan Steadfast crops, Fresh Teal Run Inspires, Herringbone U-Turn, and a Black and Inkwell bikini top ( can't remember the style). I spent $123, and while I do like the things that I got I can't say that I thought they were worth even half of the effort that went into going to the sale. I did see people with some very nice scores, but those were few and far between. The "red carpet" entertainment was not happening while I was standing in line. Haven't you ever heard of a T shirt cannon, Lulu? Maybe a push up contest with PRIZES?! The most entertaining thing near me was a very fast cockroach that made a run for it into a crowd of ladies. He met an sad fate under some hulking man's nike. All in all, I am very happy with my life outside of LA. That city has a lot to offer, but I felt a sense of total relief when I drove back into my own neighborhood. And I am happy with the clothes that I have in my drawers at home. The grass is always greener, the luon is always less pilled.... Be thankful for what you have.
Oh. And here is a pic of my new crops with a Ras Glo hyper stripe CRB and new NIKE shoes I got at the rack, post warehouse. I needed a win, so I bought them.

Just now saw that my warehouse post never published till now!!! Sad. Well, I drove 1.5 hours stood in line for 3.5 hours, and shopped until my senses were dulled. I am so beyond tired. I got 3 things for myself and one for my mom. That's it. But my friend got a load! 9 pair of bottoms and a couple of jackets. And we got an extra 10% off at the checkout, so that's nice. I will post more tomorrow. It is 8:07 pm and it's past my bedtime.
Woohoo! I am at the warehouse sale. I haven't SEEN the sale. But I am here. We arrived at 7:40 and got in a line of hundreds of other lulu fans. The person that arrived a 6:45 was already behind 500 others! Sheesh. LA is serious about this. The folks in line are awesome for the most part, and it sounds like people are finding some great deals! I heard U Turn pullovers are $39! Nice. There are thousands of people here!! Crazy. I will update again as soon as I can!

To continue on with my week of loud crops and pants I'm wearing my Yin to You Wee are from Space March pants with a Black Swan CRB. I tried on the WUC in this pattern when they came out, but the orange crotch stitching didn't appeal to me. This style with the skirt worked best for me, as the orange stitching is covered.
I am pretty amped about the warehouse sale! I will try and post about my experience as it is happening, so look for that tomorrow morning.

I have been reading on a lot blogs/comments that folks don't think that muscular legs can pull off these Ziggy WU crops. Maybe I am in denial, but I think that as far as non black goes, these are super cute and pretty darn flattering. I have been wearing them sorta nonstop since I got them, and I think they are amazing. Love the color palette they are super easy to match with other colors. If you're at all intrigued by these I would say to quick snap a pair up!

So I am supposed to be saving my cash for the warehouse sale next Friday. BUT. But. I went with my mom to the store tonight and I tried these on. Oh my. This color, this texture, this fit- perfecto!! I got a 10, and they are super stretchy. Pretty sure you could size down if you feel the need to. The waistband is so comfy. Do you like them with the Hyper Stripe? That wasn't planned!!
Wow, this upload was crammed with goodies! I love all of the little ruffle details, fun new fabrics, and a (maybe!?) return to the classic styles that made this brand something to obsess over. I haven't placed an order, but I am very much looking forward to trying some choice items on ASAP at my local store.
Today it's a hot afternoon, so I'm wearing my Paris Pink Hot and Sweaty tank with WUC. This is my one and only tank with a built in bra! They don't really work for me most of the time. But I do like this tank for muggy days. I just hope it doesn't bleed all over me!
