Happier Still

Clearly I have been shopping online lately. But seriously, after loosing 30 pounds and keeping it off for nearly 6 months, I am in need of clothes that fit me. I have very muscular calves, so this skinny jeans epidemic  makes me feel a little like the hulk- right before his clothes split apart. I LOVE these jeans from Anthropologie. They are washed out black, cropped (gotta show my anklets off!), and they have room for my calves to breathe! I got them for 30% off recently, but they are back up to full price. These are worth adding to your shopping cart and keeping your eagle eyes on that price. I also snagged these Swedish Hasbeen Husband clogs! They are also back up to full price, but again, patience.  Be a shopping predator. Stalk it. Silently watch. Then POUNCE!

Happy feet!

I am so excited about these sweet New Balance shoes I just scored! They were on sale and an extra 40% off. So they ended up being around $35! These colors make me so happy. I was poking around the J Crew site and the girls New Balance shoes are the coolest! Amazing. Makes me remember this Kermit Song...

In-Vest-ments

I saw a girl at my local store wearing the Insculpt Vest and it looked so cute on her!!  She told me that she sized down and that helped the fit. I tried- and she was right! It's the perfect light layer to throw on between layers. Plus I can fill the pockets with Kleenex- cause I've had 3 colds in 6 weeks! Yuck. Anyway, I think this piece is gonna be very functional in my life. I bought it in a size 8- and I could have tried the 6, but no one likes a too tight vest. The 8 is great! 

Throw me a Herringbone.

It was cloudy yesterday, so I busted out my "cold weather" Skinny Will pants in Giant Herringbone. So comfy!!! Love the pockets, and if they bring these back my only request is that they make them a slightly lower rise. It's too bulky to roll the waist and too high to leave it up. But hey, we all have our issues. 

A celebration of muscular calves!

I just got these Outdoor Voices pants yesterday, and I LOVE them! So unique, fun and clean lines, and the fabric is so awesome. I have very large calves. Seriously. They are crazy. I lost 30 pounds this summer and my calf measurement didn't change one single bit!! Anyway, these pants are so fun with the miss matched greys and all, and I like having some new, non Lulu in the mix.  Have you guys tried Outdoor Voices? I wear a 10 in Lululemon, and I got a size large in OV. They run on the smaller side.

Ode to the Cool Racerback.

I laid out my CRB collection and it was pretty fun to see them all lined up! I clearly have a tendency for the warm colors, and yes, I have 2 Regal Plum. They were both on markdown and one is RULU. Anyway, hope you enjoy how tidily I arranged them.  

CRBII Thoughts

I tried on the new Cool Racerback today, and, while the purple color is STUNNING, I walked away without it. Why? 

1. The back is too fussy. I don't want my straps to be all cockeyed and goofy. But that's only me, because I'm sure if you wore a cute little Flow Y bra you'd be golden. 

2. It's $48. Really. I can't. 

3. The edging around the neck doesn't lay as flat, and I'm wondering if it wouldn't be as comfortable. Don't know that for sure, just an observation.

Honestly, it's pretty cute, and not that much shorter in length. If you have an extra $6 you want to spend on a basic, go crazy. Meanwhile, I'll be scouring the sale rack for marked down original CRBs and hoping that one day I'll find a NWT Black Cherry one on eBay. One day. 

CRB RIP??!

There are horrible rumors going around that the Cool Racerback tank is being phased out!!! Say it ain't so!! I literally wear 2 of these a day- one to workout, and one for the rest of life. Today I'm wearing one with a floral maxi skirt! I have a list of colors that I am kicking myself for not buying, and I'm heading to my local store later to see if they have any good colors on markdown. If you are a fan of this tank I would stock up asap!

Beach, please.

Junk Food makes a shirt that says that and I think it's hilarious! I am headed to the beach, geared up in Tevas ( by the way, if you wear a 9 and like orange, then St Bernard Sports has you covered for $14!), some Tracker shorts, and a Sun Pullover. My legs are getting so tan this summer it's a crime to cover them up!! So I've been wearing shorts more often.

For the first time since I was 12....

I'm wearing jean shorts! Picked this up at J. Crew for around $24, and they are super! Wearing them with a Gator Green CRB and some pink Arizona Birks. 

Last Year's Seawheeze

I love these shorts! They are very 80s inspired, and since they have a million colors in them they match with almost everything. 

In other news, I've lost 22 lbs so far on my SUMMER OF JELS challenge! I've been eating super clean and working out like a madwoman. And truely, I've never felt this good. I've weighed less in my life before, but never been this fit. So, cheers to saying NO to all things sugar and junk, and YES to coconut water in fancy glasses and frozen cherries!!! 

Drought Tolerant Pants.

I finally feel tan enough to pull out my Jet Slim Cactus pants! I always roll this style twice, as the length that they come is the very worst on me. I have 3 pair of these, and they are nice for days when you don't want to wear leggings. So, the fit is stylish but they feel like I've given up and put on pajamas. 

Crap Lighting.

Snapped this at 6am, so sorry for the grainy-ness. Beachscape CRB, High Times in luxtreme, and some Nike frees that are my favorite color- electric coral!! Been hitting the gym 5 times a week lately, and I'm putting my workout wear thru the ringer!!!! I'm all out of Tide Active detergent and my stinky lulu needs some help!! 

Overall Wellness.

I'm on week 3 of a 6 week Eat Clean challenge at my gym, and I feel amazing!!!!! No sugar, no alcohol, no wheat...... You get it. Anyway, I have been working out like a crazy lady and being super strict with myself. Saying no the everything is easier than saying yes to some things.

I love these overalls, and I'm wearing a Lululemon cotton long sleeve underneath.  I scored the overalls on ebay for $100! And the top was on sale for $29. So, dressed like a million for less. That's my jam.

Buttons? Zippers? What?!

I had real clothes on earlier, I promise!! Jeans, button ups, cute shoes.......

But I digress. Clearly, things got comfy. Fast. 

These High Times are a thicker fabric, and they always ride down and have to do the classic "hike my pants back up" move, but they are such a pretty color! And I scored these new Nike Free 5 shoes for $39 at Nordstrom Rack. Woohoo!! Love me some $100 shoes for real cheap. 

I haven't been buying much lately, but I have a full online shopping cart on quite a few websites. I'll let you know when I pull the trigger on anything. 

Layer me Crazy.

Pretty much feeling like a mega cool mama today with this comfy and colorful ensemble ! 

Fluff Off vest in Split Pea, Free People Plaid, and Base Runner pants with mega accessory overload. Fun!!! Also, old Nike shoes with no socks. I know. You're jealous. 

Fleur de CRB

I went down to the Patagonia store this weekend and picked up a new tank! It took one fabric feel to sell me on this one- it's just like my rare super soft Heathered grey crb! The fit is similar if you size down ( I got a medium for a tighter fit) but the cut is also a good one for a looser tank if you're looking for that. It's called the Patagonia Fleur Tank, and the back is super pretty! I also like the simple V neckline. 

I am trying to take a breather from Lululemon, so it's nice to see that brands like Patagonia are stepping up their game and offering things that I want to buy for workout wear! This tank is so lovely- you have to feel this fabric!! Also, here is a pic of it laid on top of a size 10 Cool Racerback.

I haven't been able to take my OOTD pics lately as I've been going to a 5:45 am class and it's too dark then! And no one wants to see the "after the class" mess. I've started wearing a cotton tank over a CRB so I can wipe my sweat away with it. A lot of folks bring a towel to class, but I don't want to wipe my face with a towel that's been dragging around the gym! Yuck. I'm hoping that a shirt on my body will be less germy than that. 

Wearing my trusty Wee Space Inspires today, these being black with plum accents. 

Gratitude Crap.

Oh my goodness, my house got hit with a horrible flu. We are just now starting to feel human again. 

It's cold and raining this morning, so I wrapped up in my Gratitude Wrap. Also have some fresh WUC Hi Rise in black. The quality in these vary so much!!!! This pair was awesome, but I also tried on the ones with the quilted waistband and they were sheer and gross! And the waistband really was super tight on top. If possible, always try on multiple pairs of black Luon bottoms in store. 

Overall, I Feel Awesome.

So, I may have worn some baggy Gap overalls daily from ages 12-17. I took a break from them for a while, but when I was at Anthropologie last week I had to try these on. Oh man. I am obsessed. These are quite a bit more flattering than my old schlumpy style, and I may have worn them straight for the last week. I have a slight fixation, clearly! I am pairing a CRB and Scuba II to make the perfect Saturday outfit. I am publicly apologizing to my friends and family for wearing these until they have to have a How I Met Your Mother style intervention. I saw that Sweaty Betty has a pair of sporty overalls in their latest collection, so if they'd like anyone to give those a review...ME!ME!ME!

Hello!!!! 

I am back in the swing of things after some time off and travel. But to be totally honest, one of the reasons I don't take my outfits pics a lot lately is that my son has taken to smudging my mirror daily. Daily!!! So to take a picture I have to Windex my mirror right beforehand. So, I am lazy. And I just don't take them. 

Today I was at Anthropologie and the mirror was clean and the lighting was good, so BAM! My High Times stripys with a home state shout out tank. Good times. 

Flannel + Herringbone

I have 2 pair of these Skinny Will pants in Giant Herringbone (eBay deals, I'm not totally insane!) and I wear them all the time! They are so cozy, so not workout-y, so they are kinda like my jeans. Right?? Love the pockets too.
