Feelin' Groovy.

So it's been crazy hot here, and I took a major leap forward in life and bought shorts. SHORTS. And not just any shorts. Beachscape Groovy shorts. They are so beautiful! The pattern is surprisingly flattering, and the fabric is INSaINEly comfortable. I love them. I wore them on a hike with my family and they were awesome. Not too short, not too tight. Juuuuuuust right.

P. S. I have a few lulu items that stink no matter what! Washed hot, hung in the sunshine all day, they still reek. What do you all use to clean your workout wear? I've been using Method liquid. It's not cutting it for the really bad stuff.

  1. Cute shorts! I have the same CRB and I love it.

I use vinegar when my workout clothes get really stinky. I just fill the sink with water, dump in a cup of vinegar, and let the clothes soak for 30 minutes. Then I squeeze the water out and wash with method detergent. So far, so good!

  2. Love your OOTD! I was also one of the few that managed to snap up a pair of these shorts. They are very comfortable. If you like these, you'll love the tracker shorts in the 4 way stretch...amazing!

  3. I agree with anon 3:24...I use the same mixture. The only difference is I will soak things for 1-2 hours before washing. Good luck!!
I am thinking of ordering my first pair of lulu shorts, and think the groovy's would be a good fit since I have long legs. I am in between two sizes. Would you suggest going with the lower size or upper size? Many thanks!! Love both of your posts :-)

  4. I use 2Toms Stink Free Laundry detergent. I use to use Penguin Sport Wash, but I think the 2Toms is better. I get it at my local running store, but it's available on Amazon too. My hubby is a heavy sweater, and it works well on his stinky stuff. I've also bought him silverescent shirts at Lulu, and that has helped as well.

  6. I use Tide Active Sport and it works really well for me.

  7. If your stuff is really reeky like mine, soak it in the laundry soap for an hour before washing. Seems to do the trick.

  8. I noticed that the stink doesn't come out if you really sweat hard in some of the Lulu clothing and wear them often. I've switched to Tide Sports recently and it smells a lot better.

  9. Thank you all for your stinky ideas!!! I am going to try a few different kinds and see if they work for me. I tried adding vinegar to my load. But now my tank smells like sweat and pickles.

    1. I usually soak the vinegar and water mix outside of the washer, then wash clothes without detergent to remove vinegar, and then another load with detergent! Good luck!

  10. You've inspired me to try shorts! Like you, I never, ever wear shorts. Lulu has so many new cute shorts out now that I might have to try a pair.

  11. Oh noes. Do not bother with tides, methods, anything sport, vinegar, etc. I already experimented. Save yourself some time. Just use Penguin brand tech gear detergent available at REI. There is a more generic scent destroying version that's used to be available in walmart's to wash hunting gear with by Atsko (manufacturer that Penguin uses I believe, except we're not paying up for the brand name). All my lulu and even old other gear instantly started looking like new, and no more smell. It used to drive me nuts that freshly washed gear would smell after a 10 min warmup especially the bras to the point that I thought that I had to get rid of older gear as there was no good way to rid of residual scents.
